DESCRIPTION

The ethane separation plant’s purpose is to improve production of the gas separation plant unit 2 and 3 which results to ethane separation capability. The gas separation plant unit 6 has the production capacity of 800 MMSCFD. The Project encourages development of petrochemical industry and production of liquefied natural gas (Cooking Gas) in response of the domestic demand. This creates value add to the natural gas from the Gulf of Thailand and utilize natural resources at its maximum value. As expected, both projects will be commercially launched by the second quarter of 2010.
The production capacity of PTT’s gas separation plant will increase to 2,640 MMSCFD.
